CAPTRUST was recently named the largest wealth management firm (with investment minimums of less than $1 million) in the Houston area by the Houston Business Journal. This is CAPTRUST’s first appearance on the list, following the addition of South Texas Money Management (STMM) in August 2019, which helped CAPTRUST to significantly expand its presence within Texas.
CAPTRUST has $5.36 billion in assets in the market, which is the basis for the list.
Additionally, Houston Business Journal reporter Margaret Barrientos interviewed CAPTRUST Vice President and Financial Advisor David Stix for the article: CAPTRUST jumps to No. 1 on HBJ’s wealth management List after South Texas Money Management merger.
David discussed several topics with the publication, including how market volatility had affected clients and how the STMM team has evolved since joining CAPTRUST. “The merger has really added a lot of what we can offer to clients, and CAPTRUST has tremendous and numerous resources,” said Stix. “All those resources we’re offering to retirees, such as estate planning and other services, we now are able to offer those to our Texas clients.”
