Clay Hartman is a wealth management financial advisor based in Kansas City, MO.

Clay joined CAPTRUST in 2022 from Frontier Wealth Management, and he brings nearly 25 years of business development, financial management, and leadership experience to CAPTRUST.

As a senior vice president and financial advisor, Clay works to develop and manage a group of successful individual, family, foundation, and institutional clients. He helps clients consolidate their financial and life goals into a realistic, understandable, and measurable plan.

Prior to joining the firm, Clay played a key role in the growth of the Financial Institutions Division of Raymond James Financial, deploying full-service investment platforms to community banks, thrifts, and credit unions. He also spent seven years leading and growing his family’s manufacturing business and advising on the technology licensing and eventual sale of that company. Clay graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.

Outside of work, Clay enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and dog, as well as playing guitar, golf, and competitive pickleball.
