Matt Winton is an institutional advisor based in Chicago, IL.

CAPTRUST welcomed Matt to our team in 2021. As a principal, he provides financial advisory services to clients focusing on corporate retirement plans, endowments, foundations, family offices, wealth management firms, and healthcare institutions.

Matt joined us from Ellwood Associates—a comprehensive financial services firm. He served as a consultant and led the wealth management advisory services team. Matt has over 20 years of experience serving clients in the financial services industry. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Miami University.

Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids and golfing. Additionally, he is an active volunteer and board member for Elmhurst Airborne. This nonprofit organization provides a fun, safe, and positive environment for competitive youth basketball. Matt enjoys working with elementary and middle school boys and girls to grow the game of basketball while instilling the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
