Sherry joined CAPTRUST from South Texas Money Management in 2019. She serves as a vice president and financial advisor, responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management to individuals coping with divorce or death of a spouse, high-net-worth investors, and corporate executives.
Prior to joining the firm, Sherry served as an executive vice president and relationship manager at South Texas Money Management. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Baylor University and holds her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) certification.
Prior to joining South Texas Money Management, Sherry was employed by TD Ameritrade, where she led the evolution of fixed income services for the western and central regions of the country. She and her team provided customized guidance to clients regarding income strategies in order to meet client objectives.
Beginning in 2002, she spent three years with Advisor’s Asset Management, growing the institutional bond and unit investment trust production through coaching her employees and networking with broker dealers across the country. Sherry made her first transition into the financial industry with USAA in 1998, serving our military members in various roles, including select high net worth relationship manager, acquisition manager, and integrated financial manager. Prior to starting her career in the financial industry, Sherry worked with people with disabilities and helped them to reach their potential in the community. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children, at her church, gardening, and volunteering with the elderly.
