KJ McConnell is a managing director at GTCR and sits on the board of directors at CAPTRUST.

KJ has deep experience investing across the financial services and technology industry, with expertise helping businesses transform through organic growth initiatives and M&A.

He is currently a director of GTCR portfolio companies Cisive, RevSpring, and Ultimus Fund Solutions. He was previously a director of GTCR investments Convergex, Dash Financial Technology, and Paya. He played an instrumental role in GTCR’s past investments in The Townsend Group and Premium Credit Limited.

Before joining GTCR as a vice president in 2014, KJ worked as an associate at TPG Capital, a global private equity firm based in San Francisco, and as an analyst in the financial institutions group at Goldman Sachs in New York. He earned his MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar.
