Brent Thomas is an endowments and foundations financial advisor based in Houston, TX.

Brent specializes in advising tax-exempt organizations, working closely with boards and staff to strengthen governance and investment practices in support of long-term mission sustainability. His experience includes philanthropic consulting to support high-value donor strategies and fiduciary advisory services for institutional clients.

Brent began his career in the financial services industry in 2001, focusing on charitable trust management and nonprofit advisory services. Before joining CAPTRUST, he held fiduciary and institutional trust leadership roles at several national banks, advising individual and institutional clients and leading practices through periods of growth.

Brent earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and finance from LSU New Orleans.

Outside of work, Brent cherishes family time, especially seeing his son. He also enjoys playing golf, working on house projects, attending charitable events, and embarking on every possible South American trip.
