Martha Newsom handles operations in the Charlotte, North Carolina office.

Martha joined the firm in 2025, when Carolinas Investment Consulting (CIC) became CAPTRUST.

She served as chief financial officer at CIC, joining in 2028 and bringing with her more than 30 years of finance experience as a CPA with Wells Fargo, HSBC, and small businesses.

She is a graduate of Meredith College, where she received a Bachelor of Science in accounting.

Martha is a North Carolina native and is married to Matt; they have two children, Jack and Will.
