Josh Bingtan is a financial planner based in Sacramento, California.

Josh specializes in comprehensive financial planning. He supports advisors by conducting analyses to give an accurate picture of a client’s current financial standing. He then helps build a plan that lays out the steps for their goal retirement.

His background in insurance also helps him analyze insurance and annuity products that incoming clients may currently carry, to see if those products still benefit their plan.

Before coming to CAPTRUST, Josh was with an insurance company, where he built a diverse book of business from young professionals to pre-retirees. It’s where he began to understand the nature of financial planning and risk management.

Prior to that, Josh worked for a real estate investment group, overseeing property acquisitions and building a portfolio across the San Francisco Bay Area.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from California State University, Sacramento.

When not at work, Josh enjoys music. He’s been a musician since childhood and still enjoys writing and recording music. He also DJs local events around Sacramento and enjoys a good game of golf.
