Mike Strother supports CAPTRUST’s practice management initiatives and is based in Raleigh, NC.

Mike joined CAPTRUST in 1994 and is a senior director within the firm’s advisor group, where he plays a key role in supporting the success of CAPTRUST’s advisory teams nationwide. In this role, Mike works closely with advisors to consult on practice management, business planning, and sustainable growth strategies, helping them strengthen client relationships and scale their practices effectively. He also contributes to advisor recruiting and onboarding efforts, partnering with leadership to identify, integrate, and develop talent.

In his experience with CAPTRUST, Mike has also served as a financial advisor, senior analyst, branch manager, administration director, and participant education director.

Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys golf, playing bass guitar, spending time on the North Carolina coast, and reading.
