Al Cannon is a wealth management financial advisor based in Greenville, SC.

Al joined the firm in 2021. At CAPTRUST, he specializes in wealth management consultancy for individuals and families, qualified retirement plan sponsors, and nonprofits.

Al joined us from the wealth management consultancy firm of Nachman Norwood & Parrott. He began his career at Tietex International—a global manufacturer of fabrics—before entering the wealth management industry with Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. During his tenure at Morgan Stanley, Al rose to become a senior investment management consultant and corporate client group director. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina and a Master of Business Administration degree from Clemson University.

Whether he’s on the tennis court or the ski slopes, Al likes to spend his time outside of the office on the move. He travels to new and interesting places as often as possible. A talented musician, you may also find Al out on the town playing the drums for a local band. When he needs to recharge, he’ll read or watch documentaries.
