Director,
Endowments & Foundations
Heather joined CAPTRUST in 2022 as the director of endowments and foundations. She brings nearly two decades of financial, organizational leadership, and strategic planning experience to the firm. Heather partners closely with Eric Bailey, CAPTRUST’s head of endowments and foundations to support advisors with their clients and to continue to grow the firm’s market presence in the space.
Prior to joining CAPTRUST, Heather served as the executive director of the Ronald McDonald House in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She spent more than six years at MassMutual developing experience like recruiting, coaching, and developing advisors, client management, as well as marketing strategy. She is particularly passionate about supporting women in the industry.
Heather’s unique experience in nonprofit leadership as well as financial services allows her to relate to an endowment or foundation client who is making decisions about their endowment or foundation management strategy. She also understands challenges organizations might be facing such as operations, fiduciary responsibilities, and social impact investing needs.
Heather holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Duke University. She currently serves on the grants committee and the financial literacy committee for the CAPTRUST Community Foundation.
