Chris Hayes is a senior financial consultant based in Overland Park, KS.

Chris serves as the office’s senior portfolio manager for fixed income, with responsibility for portfolio management, research, and trading for legacy separately managed accounts.

Chris joined CAPTRUST in 2025 when Meritage Portfolio Management joined the firm. He started at Meritage with more than 15 years of institutional fixed income experience, including buy‑side roles at Federated Investors and Neuberger Berman, and leadership positions at Highland Capital Management and Antora Peak Capital.

Chris graduated from Georgetown University, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He also earned his Master of Business Administration from INSEAD, in Fontainebleau, France.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys playing golf and running. He’s also an avid New York Mets fan.
