David Akright is a wealth advisor based out of San Antonio, TX.

David joined our team in 2021 from Covenant Multifamily Offices—a multidisciplinary financial advisory firm—where he served as a wealth advisor. At CAPTRUST, he assists families and corporate executives with their investment, income tax, wealth transfer planning, and philanthropic strategies to help them accomplish their goals.

Prior to joining Covenant, David worked at Jefferson and Franklin Financial, where he provided financial solutions to public education employees, including pension analysis and 403(b) retirement plans. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Science degree in finance from the University of Texas, San Antonio.

Outside of work, David is active in the community and currently serves on the Finance Committee of The DoSeum, San Antonio’s Museum for Kids. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kaitlyn, and son, Preston. David is a lifelong Spurs fan and enjoys traveling, playing golf, and relaxing with his black lab, Leonard.
