Erik Milam is a wealth management financial advisor based in Nashville, TN.

Erik joined CAPTRUST in 2022 after nearly two decades at TrustCore Financial Services. As a principal and financial advisor, he specializes in guiding clients through complex financial transitions such as business sales, career changes, sudden wealth events, and retirement. His approach is simple: listen and understand before making any recommendations. Together with each client, we co-create a financial action plan that supports what matters most, and then implement technical strategies designed to maximize the client’s definition of wealth and quality of life.

Erik delivers concierge-level planning services that include investment portfolio design, alternative investments, current-year and long-term tax planning, concentrated position management, and charitable, legacy, and estate planning. He primarily serves high-net-worth families, business owners, law firms, individuals navigating sudden wealth, and creative professionals.

Erik holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University and the designations of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Certified Financial Transitionist®, and Registered Life Planner®. He has been featured in both national and local publications and received the Top 40 under 40 award (2014) from InvestmentNews and Power Leader in Finance (2018) from the Nashville Business Journal.

Outside the office, Erik enjoys public speaking, golfing, smoking meats, crafting pizzas, playing guitar, and spending time with family and friends.
