Kate Sampson is the chief human resources officer and is based in Raleigh, NC.

Kate is responsible for the firm’s human resources strategy. With approximately 20 years of experience, she has guided organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and change, with a focus on building high performing teams and developing future leaders.

Before joining CAPTRUST in 2026, Kate served as the head of human resources at Stonepeak for more than six years and previously held human capital leadership roles at Apollo Global Management and Siemens.

Kate graduated from Villanova University, earning her Bachelor of Science in finance.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys running, jigsaw puzzles, and spending quality time with her husband, Jason, and daughters, Nora and Emma.
