Prior to joining CAPTRUST Rob served as an officer in the U.S. Army, holding many roles including leading an Abrams tank platoon in the 1st Infantry Division and commanding two Cavalry Troops in the 3d Cavalry Regiment. In these roles, he led teams of over 120 personnel, managed multi-million-dollar military assets, and executed high-stakes operational programs–to include two overseas deployments, developing a disciplined, strategic approach that guides his financial advisory work. His disciplined approach and strategic mindset, shaped by his military leadership experience, ensure clients receive proactive solutions and transparent communication throughout their wealth management journey.

Rob graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in military history. He served eight years in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Captain.

Rob is deeply engaged in his community, serving on the Hutchinson YMCA Advisory Board, the Cosmosphere Board, and as an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Kansas class of 2025. Outside of work, he enjoys reading history, swimming, golf, and spending quality time playing with his two children.
