Shane Whippo is a wealth management financial advisor in Costa Mesa, CA.

Shane helps manage day-to-day trade operations while performing investment research and reviews for several of the Costa Mesa office’s strategies. He came to CAPTRUST in 2026 when Alpha Cubed Investments joined the company. Shane had been working at Alpha Cubed Investments since 2020, where he most recently served as a portfolio manager.

Before that, Shane worked as an investment manager from 2016 to 2020 at Whippo Asset Management LLC, where he conducted fundamental and technical analysis with a focus primarily on U.S. equities. He also worked as an analyst at Research Affiliates, running performance analysis for U.S., developed international, and emerging market equities and producing quarterly strategy commentary.

Shane graduated from the University of California, Irvine, earning his bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys being physically active, including lifting weights, practicing yoga, and calisthenics. He also enjoys programming and spending time with his friends.
