Wilson leads CAPTRUST’s business development and practice management initiatives.

A former advisor with more than 30 years of industry experience, he facilitates a team design that fosters accelerated advisor growth and ample opportunities for professionals to thrive within the growing firm. As head of the advisor group, he also plays an integral part in its provider relations, marketing, and recruiting and acquisition efforts.

In 1995, Wilson founded CAPTRUST’s professional athlete division, which has since gained national recognition for its exclusive focus on the unique financial needs of professional athletes and entertainers. In college, he was a four-year letterman in football and held a 16-year record as Wake Forest University’s all-time leading scorer.
