Eric Ensign is a tax consultant and wealth management financial advisor based in Phoenix, AZ.

Eric joined the CAPTRUST team in 2020 from MRA Associates in Phoenix, AZ. Eric has nearly 20 years of experience offering comprehensive tax and investment advice to high-net-worth families, their businesses, and other entities. He serves as both an investment advisor and tax advisor for CAPTRUST. His extensive background in complex tax planning for family offices, entities, and ultra-high net worth individuals allow him to advise a wide variety of clients and families.

By incorporating tax planning into portfolio management, Eric and his team create unique investment strategies paired with financial planning to better preserve and grow financial legacies for future generations.

Eric earned a Master of Taxation degree from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Prior to graduate school, he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both finance and accountancy, also from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Arizona and a member of the Arizona Society of CPAs.

Eric is an Arizona native and enjoys sports, golf, hiking, nature, history, and cherishes quality time with his wife, daughters, and family.
