Before joining CAPTRUST, Austin served as a naval aviator in the U.S. Navy, flying MH-60R helicopters from aircraft carriers and cruisers on deployments across the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans. Following his graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2016, he spent a decade leading complex missions and operating in high-pressure environments around the world.

Austin earned his Bachelor of Science in naval architecture from the United States Naval Academy.

Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy spending time with their church community at Saving Grace Bible Church. Austin also enjoys playing sports, backpacking, reading, and home improvement projects.
