Jay Nicholls is a wealth management financial advisor based in Boston.
Jay is responsible for trading and strategy implementation. His primary responsibility is to fixed income portfolio management and strategy as well as alternative investment strategy. He also assists advisors in determining asset allocation and strategy decisions. Last but not least, as a Chartered Financial Analyst, he manages client assets directly as an advisor.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance and economics from Framingham State University. Then he began his career at BNY Mellon Wealth Management as a portfolio associate in equity trading and portfolio implementation, learning about trade operations, settlement, and fixed income portfolio management.
Jay joined Boston Financial Management in 2017, which became CAPTRUST in 2024. As Jay gained more experience, he took on more responsibilities in fixed income and investment strategy. His role grew organically to fill various needs across the organization, from operations to trading and portfolio management to client advisory.
When not working, he enjoys being active, playing hockey or golf, gardening, and traveling the world.
