He has extensive experience in developing and implementing financial plans involving cash flow, tax, retirement, and estate planning.

Kirkland joined CAPTRUST from Vanguard, where he worked in client services. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a board member of the CAPTRUST Community Foundation.
