Zack Shafran is a wealth management financial consultant based in Overland Park, KS.

Zack specializes in investment management and analysis, wealth management, and business planning. Prior to joining CAPTRUST in 2025, Zack spent three years at Meritage Portfolio Management as co-CIO and senior portfolio manager. His experience also includes more than 30 years with Waddell and Reed, where he served as both portfolio manager and co-manager for the firm’s science and technology fund strategy.

Zack graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Business Administration.

In his free time, Zack enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling, hiking, hunting, fishing, and traveling. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Heart of America Council, BSA, as well as a supporter of the Kansas City Ballet.
